You don't buy "fruit bowls" you buy fruit.
Your lasagna did not need ground beef for it, lasagna can be made without meat.
You buy blocks of cheese not bags of already shredded cheese.
You could make the ricotta yourself 1 gallon of milk would be enough so compare the price that way.
Stop shopping at the expensive store, shop the less expensive store for 99% of your stuff and if you have to shop the other for the produce.
But I think if you look the produce will be the same at both stores, you just have to look for the good items you want.
And forget "perfect" if you are going to make sauces, stews and soups. Look for the bruised, riper veggies they are often closing them out and selling them for less and they are the things you want in sauces, soups and stews.
And stop getting your sandwich made at the deli counter buy the things you want and make it at home that way you are paying for the ingredients by the pound not by the sandwich. And you can ask for 4 slices of 1 thing, 2 slices of another, then go to the bakery and buy 1 roll. Much less than paying for the for the sandwich to be made.
