21 yr old female having Cystoscopy tomorrow. Should I shave my pubic hair before it ?
- NatashaLv 71 year ago
Not unless you generally choose to remove pubic hair. In general, no, you don't need to shave any body hair off. The only time when it would be necessary for you to shave any body hair beforehand is if staff specifically ask you to.
Hope this helps.

The staff at the hospital will do it if it is needed.

There's no medical reason to do so. If you shave or trim normally, then sure. I would say focus more on making sure you shower ahead of the appointment. Wash between your legs. Not just in front. Get the back door too.
Basic hygiene is courteous if somebody is gonna have their face down there.
Beyond that, the doctor has already seen a bunch of people with their pants off. Shave, don't shave...they're probably not going to care very much as long as you're clean.

Yes- it's best to shave before any procedure.

If you need to - then you would have instructions to do so. If you were NOT given instructions, to do this, then leave your pubic hair alone.

Only if they told you to.

Not unless you were told to.

I wouldn't. If they need it doing they either would have asked you to or will do it at the time.
