Evidence increasingly suggests that, at least for a lot of people, the main issue is fast-digesting carbs and sugars. So things like white pasta, cookies, white bread, pancakes with syrup, and the like. If you are going to eat carbs, try to limit your portions, try to go for whole grain rather than white flour versions, and try to include some fat and/or protein, both so you'll feel full faster, and so your body will take longer to digest the meal.

Most packaged processed foods with long lists of ingredients are not good for you. Also anything that is very high in sugar is going to make you fat (especially sodas because they have no real nutrition, even diet sodas are not good for you).
But eating healthy is not really about "this good, that bad", it's about how much you eat versus how much energy you burn off again. It's about everything you eat not necessarily any one thing. Even sugar is not necessarily bad for you when it comes from fruit and there are other nutrients and fiber present.
Avocados for example are very high in fat but eaten in reasonable quantities they are very good for you. But if you are trying to lose weight eating a dozen of them in one go is not necessarily a good idea. Eating fat is not necessarily bad for you, it is being fat that is bad for you. But fat is very concentrated energy (calories) so you should limit your intake. It's all about balance not about taking any one thing to extremes.
