You've actually already gone THIS far.
You've had a warning.
Please take it seriously.
Park the car if you need to wait for funds.
It's likely that you have a Front Wheel Drive vehicle, but some time ago when cars were Rear Wheel Drive, I saw a few cars that had a bad front wheel bearing, that sawed (burned) it's way through the spindle, and the tire/wheel and drum was suddenly separated from the car.
Because I had to go retrieve the immovable vehicle from where it came to a stop, with a wrecker (tow truck), I saw the results. Luckily, there was no accident or out of control vehicle that hit a building or person, but the wheel/tire/drum assembly was hundreds of feet away.
I asked those drivers about warning noises, and they all said it was just a quiet squeaking noise for a few days with no grinding or steering problems. I don't know whether I believe them.
