    Salaried employees get paid regardless.

There is a difference between salaried and hourly employees. A salaried employee is paid the same regardless of how many hours they are required to work, even if it exceeds 40 hours, is overtime, after hours, or on weekends. It is a form of slavery that is largely exempt from the FLSA.

That would have no impact on salaried workers. They still get their same salary for the period which includes that day the company was closed due to power outage. Hourly workers would be affected unless the company lets those workers used accrued vacation pay or personal leave day pay, etc.

If you don't work, they generally don't have to pay you unless you have accrued leave.

your entitled to pay if the employer told you not to come in for some reason(assuming the reason wasnt your fault)
