Yesterday I thought I had found a solution to a long-term problem. I felt excited and was thinking "Wow this is so great!! I need to do X and then this will be fixed." Within a few hours, the excitement wore off and I realized that that "solution" was not going to work. It seemed kind of dumb.
This kind of epiphany, that lasts briefly, and doesn't amount to anything, has happened before. Has anyone else ever had a "useless epiphany" like this?

As a writer I have them all the time.

Rather than an epiphany, to me it looks more like an "aha moment" turning into a "bah moment"...
