    5x - 7 < 28

    Add '7' to both sides

    5x < 35

    Divide both sides by '5'

    x < 7

    verification

    When x = 6

    5(6) - 7 = 30 - 7 = 23 < 35

    Rules for 'Inequalities'.

    1. Treat it as an 'equals (=)'.

    2. Only change the direction of the 'Inequaity' when dividing by a negative number or a fraction.

    Hope that helps!!!!
