Is it possible to add two 12v batteries in parallel to the 5 x 12v batteries that run in series in my 60v scooter?

I have seven 12v batteries, all exactly the same. 5 of them are joined in series to create a 60v bank for my scooter. I want to know if it is possible to connect two of the 5 each in parallel with one of the remaining two batteries, so 3x 12v 20a And 2x 12v40a, all running in series?

Only if you had ten batteries, all of the same capacity,

would a series / parallel setup be practical.

Remember that in any series circuit,

the current is limited to what the lowest-current element will pass.

The idea you propose would be highy problematic at best.

It would Not increase the speed, run time, or torque of the scooter.

if the sc battery is 60v 20 ah

you may use five 12v 20ah batteries in series

how much is their ah? 12v ... ah?

connecting batteries in series and in parallel ( complex) without controlling board may create a circulation current so it will damage batteries

Yes you can but current will still be limited by the 20 amp batteries.
