Drink more water and fewer water substitutes.

Blood is 94% water. When you become dehydrated it loses 8% of its water volume, which results in thicker blood. This thicker blood increases the workload on the heart which has to work harder to keep the circulation going smoothly.

Replacing the lost water will restore the blood's viscosity and the heart rate should normalize.
