    Not horrible, just old fashioned.

No it is not a hideous name at all!,

Myrtle is actually a very nice name that has just gone out of fashion thats all!

All it takes is several people to start naming their child Myrtle then it will catch on! Do Not Be Afraid to call your child Myrtle or any other long forgotton name!

I remember I used to go to school with a girl named Myrtle. I loved it at the time, not so much now

I'm not a fan of early 20th century names like Myrtle, Mabel, Agnes, Mildred, Blanche etc. They are very dated and unattractive names for the 21st century.

NO!!! However, it is not used very much. It was very common in the Victorian period.

I find modern misspelled meaningless inventive names to be 'ugly'.
