Why does it seem that rich people don't care about unemployment rates?

Those who are wealthy and work are so successful that they must want time off to relax. They are in high demand because of their skills. Those who are wealthy and have no need for gainful employment cannot imagine why anyone would be applying for jobs unless perhaps they needed money. Either group has no time to worry about unemployment figures because they are irrelevant to themselves.

Rich business owners certainly care. They thrive on high unemployment because that's when they can pay less for the same workers they'd have to be kinder to if unemployment was low. So in some cases their goals vis-a-vis the raw unemployment numbers are simply the opposite of how the average worker thinks.

They only care about themselves & patting themselves on the back because they have money & others don't. It's sad, but it's reality.

Rich conservatives look down on everyone with less money than them. They also ignore issues that don't affect them.
