Does Pelosi have it right.. A House vote to impeach Pres Trump will only result in an automatic win for Him/House/Senate and the GOP in "20"?

Never would pass the Senate, so why bother.... still pisssed about Trump's win over Hillary?

Democrats painted themselves into a corner.

Democrats and the CNN/MSNBC Progressive Propaganda Machine have been holding impeachment out in front of their Democrat/Liberal/Socialist base like a carrot on a stick for more than 2 years.

But now , some among the Democrat leadership realizes that even if the House did impeach President Trump, the Senate would never remove him from office.

They know that such a failure would only lead to massive further disappointment among the Democrat/Liberal/Socialist base which has been disappointed by the almost daily promised, then failures, to "get Trump" out of office since Election Night of 2016.

And this disappointment could, very well, be the tipping point, leading to acceptance by many among the Democrat/Liberal/Socialist base that their leadership is grossly incompetent, resulting in many of them staying at home on Election Day, 2020.

But because of their promise to impeach, if House Democrats don't move to impeach President Trump, this disappointment could, very well, be the tipping point, leading to acceptance by many among the Democrat/Liberal/Socialist base that their leadership is grossly incompetent, resulting in many of them staying at home on Election Day, 2020.

Meanwhile, most Conservatives are thoroughly enjoying watching the infighting and division taking place under "the Big Tent".

Could someone please pass the popcorn?

She's old enough to remember the Clinton debacle of 1998 and the effect it had on the midterms. Anything that makes people feel uneasy about the system tends to suppress voter turnout and the Dems rely on turnout (whereas the GOP tends to do better when turnout is low). Pelosi's calculus is that launching a sure-to-lose impeachment campaign against Trump will adversely affect the 2020 elections. She seems to understand that the loudest voices in her party don't represent the majority of registered Dem voters. Most Democrats are far to the right of AOC, AntiFa and the like.

If the Fab Four don't ruin the democraps chances, an impeachment would. I could never have imagined a world where Nancy Botox would be the logical voice of their party. The squad of four's power does show just how stupid the American voter may be though so anything is possible.

It (impeachment) went down in flames in the House yesterday.
