is it safe to run a window air conditioner on fan mode during the rain?

they are saying that its going to rain all day and im wondering if it is safe to run a window air conditioner on fan mode during the rain ?

    If the window A/C can't handle normal rain, it isn't safe in any weather.

    Absolutely. It's perfectly safe to run the window AC in rain, too - it's designed for the outdoor end to hang outside of your house, after all. It'll be fine.

    Must on rainy days, it keeps the indoor air dry.

    High humidity during rainy season can cause mold, (moisture laden air can act as medium to spread airborne disease) IDK about lightning but most conditioner have outer casing to protect it from rain splash.

    There is a tray and channel under the front unit to collect the condensed moisture from indoors and drain it outside.

    yes, they are built to be put in windows. water doesn't effect them unless they are completely submerged.
