How do I start thinking for myself?

I've always been a sheep, just following orders my whole life. But inside i've always had this feeling, idk how to describe it but all i know is it seeks freedom. But i've noticed EVERY TIME, when the time comes and a decision needs to be quickly made i fall under pressure, unable to make a decision, desperately looking around me for others to save me. How do I start thinking for myself?

Do not wait until the last moment to do "anything".Plan, strategize, dream write it down. All your ideas of how you want your life to be.Start doing something about it not when "the **** hits the fan".

I could tell you, but it wouldn't be helping. Figure it out for yourself, if you want to. Up to you
