Whole Foods wont sell sports drinks. Food colorings cause cancer in rats. Medical people say theyre good for electrolytes. What say you?

Update:

Gatorade and Powerade both have 'zero' options, so a person can avoid all the sugar.

whole foods is a pretty healthy/natural grocery store, so it wouldn't really make sense for them to sell sports drinks heavy with food colorings. you can have sports drinks without the food coloring and still have electrolytes in them though. or you could color them naturally with fruit or vegetable juice or something.

. Most of the people that I see drinking sports drinks are fat and out of shape. Yes, if you're going through football practice - a diluted Gatorade is great. The rest of us are better off with coconut water, bananas, oranges, water etc.

My problem with most of those drinks is that they're loaded with sugar. They didn't used to be that sweet. And blue - who needs a blue drink?
