Niamh or Neve for a spelling?
I love this name so much but not sure whether to use Neve incase it is mispronounced constantly? I live in the U.K. though so it’s fairly known.. which do you prefer and why??

Definitely the classic Niamh, it looks so much prettier and classier. I live in the UK too and know several Niamhs. I think most people here should know how to pronounced it.

It’s the proper spelling. If it’s authentic, even if people don’t originally know the name they will take your explanation. But if it’s not authentic you have to explain it to everyone. You’re basically dumbing it down.

'Niamh' is the Irish (Erse) Gaelic spelling.
When spelled as 'Neve.Neev;' this is just a anglicised form. The name means 'Brightness' or' Radiance'.
The phonetics (pronunciations) of Gaelic names are quite different from modern English and European languages!!!!!
