Should I buy more than one index funds, if my entire portfolio is only index funds?

How many? Which ones? All equal amounts of money in each? Which is the best service to buy them with?

    total market index

    international index

    total bond index

Practically all companies have these. My favorite: Vanguard, Fidelity, T Rowe Price.

In theory, no, but they don't all track the same so you might find it smart to research a few and hedge a little. The downside is that when you buy or sell you get more than one transaction fee. That said, if you use an online discount broker like TDAmeritrade, eTrade, etc, then it costs less than $10 a trade so it won't matter much.
