My 24 year old son lives at home and does not work. Must he file a tax return?

    You should consult an attorney, the answer is probably No.If he earns an income other than work he might have to pay taxes,if the income is high

    no, but you can claim him as a dependent and get some cash for him.

    Wtf kinda dumb question is that?? If he is not working then clearly the answer is no.. also drop him off at an army recruiters. Its either go to college, go to work, or join the military.. they cnt stay home forever.

    Have him help out around the house, do some chores, fix things, etc. and have him pay you a small amount of rent every month when he gets a job. I would say $200-300 a month would be good.

    Not unless he is working or had been working the year before he wasn't working

    We don't know. You didn't say what country he lives in. Not every country has the same laws about filing taxes.
