    This is clearly set out in the Juries Act 1974. Section 20(5) states "If any person -

    (d) knowing that he is disqualified under Part 2 of Schedule 1 to this Act, serves on a jury;

    (e) knowing that he is not qualified for jury service by reason of section 40 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, serves on a jury,..

    he shall be liable on summary conviction to … a fine of not more than level 3 on the standard scale". Which means a maximum fine of £1,000.

    It will also probably cause the trial to be abandoned and the court will start again with a new jury.

    Uh... duh... it's up to the attorneys and judge to disqualify jurors. If you remain in the jury box after being dismissed you will be forcibly removed by the bailiffs, and may be declared to be in contempt of court and jailed. But it's your choice, dude.

      We don't have attorneys in the UK. Try answering with respect to the correct country.
