Why don't cb radios and 2 way radios have internet bridges?

Why don't they have a base that connects to the internet and another base that connects to the internet for long distance communicating?

There are internet relays for some two-way radio frequencies. They seem to be popular in countries that use PMR446, though, not FRS/GMRS.

There are probably FCC regulations that regulate what you can hook up to CB radios. I know it's technically illegal to "shoot skip" in traditional communication (communicate with somebody outside the accepted range, due to atmospheric conditions).
