could the asteroid "1979 XB" collide with earth?

i can't find much info on it after reasearching a bit, not even a wikipedia page-- i have however, found an article listing it as one of the four most dangerous asteroids expected to hit earth in 2024.

You need to check out the JPL Asteroid Chart.

Yes, but you are far more likely to fall victim to cardiovascular disease, road trauma, gun violence, or acts of war.

What is up in the sky is the least of your worries.

go to spaceweather.com and scroll down to the section on asteroids. Whatever source is scaring you is either grossly out of date or deliberately misleading

    • These days the latter option is by far the most likely. Deliberately creating anxiety is a good way to generate clicks.

They have modeled the orbits of most asteroids, and nothing so close as to be a threat for near 300 years. Certainly nothing through 2024.

Possible a yet undiscovered rogue from deep space.

    Technically, yes.

But it's so unlikely, you are more likely to get struck by lightning twenty times.
