The standard battle tank of the day was the M60 Patton. There are many versions of this tank. The main gun was 105mm. A .50 Browning Machine Gun would be attached to the Commander's Cupola. In addition, an M73 machine gun or later a M240C machine gun would be mounted, both are 7.62mm (.308 caliber). The crew would have M1911 .45 caliber pistols for sidearms. It was quite common for the crew to obtain rifles in addition, either the M14 or M16. The standard field ration of the time was C-Rations or C-rats. These were canned meals served in a rectangular thin cardboard box.

They had the Ontos which was designed as anti-tank system but then turned out well in the anti-personnel role.
