Will Prince Charles’ affair with Mrs. Parker-Bowles likely be re-visited in the press if he gives her the title “Her Majesty Queen Camilla”?

Will a new generation be introduced to Charles and Camilla’s extramarital affair, via the press bringing up their history as a couple, when he becomes King with her possibly becoming Queen (if he decides to give her the title after initially saying, upon their marriage, that she would not take the title off Queen when he becomes King).

With EVERY significant event that happens in that family, the subject will always be brought up somewhere and that will NEVER end. It is part of history, people are still talking about the rights and the wrongs of the abdication of King Edward VIII. It has very little to do with the gutter press, it is history, it is OUR history!

Title or no title, it will all be raked up again when the time comes.

Younger people who carry out proper research on the family will know about the affair because it is part of history. Everyone needs to learn how to read media reports carefully in order to get the correct story.

Camilla becomes Queen Consort the moment Charles becomes king--that is the protocol. Camilla, when the engagement was first announced, sought to mollify the rabid Diana contingent by letting them know that she, Camilla, knew that she could never take Diana's place and her choice of titles represented that. But, in the UK, there is no such title as "Princess Consort" for the wife of the king and experts were quick to point this out.

Probably not. The press like news stories not ancient history.

They know their readership can be a bit thick. (Some can't grasp that Camilla is now the Duchess of Cornwall) So they won't want to confuse them.

The minute that he is king she is queen, charles needs no permission or debate about it, she is his queen consort, whatever anyone says.

I think the 'new generation' will know only too well what happened IN THE PAST. And some of the gutter press have never let it drop!! So probably. She's his wife now btw - Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall - not Mrs PB
