my cat is almost a year old and his head twitches a lot. is that normal?

i used to think that it happened because something could have touched his whiskers and irritated him so he shook his head to get rid of that feeling. however, sometimes he does it when nothing could possibly be touching him. we always joke that he has tourette’s bc that’s what it acts like. i wanted to know if this was something all cats do.

Get him in to the vet. That is not normal. It can be as simple as a bad and deep ear infection, or as complicated as some sort of neurological issue or a seizer disorder. Call the vet today, and get him an appointment as soon as they have one. While it's not an emergency, it's not something you should put off.

No, not all cats do this. Call the vet and have him checked out. Perhaps he has an ear infection. If it happens to be an ear infection, keep in mind that an untreated infection like this can cause damage within the ears, so better to take him in, now.
