Chinese bikes .. Lexmoto etc Have you had one, are they any good?

    Better than walking and if someone is paying YOU to take it away, nothing to sneeze at. Just don't expect Japanese quality, reliability, styling, and power. They run so better than a mini bike with a B&S motor.

    Not saying they are not trying. They got a rocket on the moon. No small feat.

    They use Japanese engines from several years ago, often using the jigs and machining from Suzuki. But they are still built to a remarkably low budget so you should not expect too much.

    And the "value" looks even worse if you consider the depreciation – once you ride it off the forecourt you start losing money.

    Still cheaper than the bus and a damn sight more fun.

    Lexmoto is the only one I've read up on. Not great but better than 90% of the other Chinese POSs.

    They were absolute rubbish a few years ago.

    I believe they're better these days by a small margin, but still way off Japanese reliability and you'd be better off buying a used Honda with fifteen thousand miles on the clock. .
