Question for The Sims 2 players and those who know computers well?

I know this has been asked but every PC is different in some way. I was planning on reinstalling the game. Now I have played and installed the game before. However, I want to make sure it runs well and has minimal hiccups and problems. Is there anything I can purchase? Can I upgrade anything? Any help would be appreciated.

Here are my laptop specifications:

HP Laptop 15-bw0xx

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Version: 17134.885

Microprocessor: AMD A6-9220 RADEON R4, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C+3G

System Memory: 4GB

System Memory Slot 1: 4GB Samsung 1866MHz

System board: 8330 27.35

System BIOS: F.51

That should run it fine, Sims 2 is pretty old at this point. If anything I would put in 4GB more memory, it may make things run a little smoother.

How would I go about putting an additional 4 GB of memory? Is that something I can just go to my local Best Buy and have them take care of/do?

put Win7 back on it, for Glob's sake.

Even if I do that would I still have to boost the memory?
