    Gently dab cloth with acetone on the affected area. Be sure not to smear the polish on the clean unstained parts of the carpet.

    Pro carpet cleaners use two products together, both are from Pro Chem. They come in toothpaste type tubes called Pro Solve Gel and PowerGel. After the stain is softened and loose it is hot water vacuum extracted with an upholstery tool.

    Acetone (nail polish remover) may will dissolve synthetic carpet fibers. Test in an inconspicuous place first.
