I'm glad someone finally confirmed what I felt for a while. It's happened several times with me. Most recently just a few days ago. Didn't have a full-blown cold but just a bit of a bunged up, runny nose and a little bit of a sore throat for a couple of days.

No. People even sleep outdoors and dont get sick. You have to get a virus from someone who has it. So unless someone sneezed in your open window, it will not get you sick.

They say colder temperatures make your resistance lower and you’re more susceptible to catch the cold virus. I don’t know if that’s actually been proven but that’s what most people believe.

No, a cold is a virus and you can only catch it from another person.
