Is it okay to fear death?

Im only 13 and people say im childish to fear death? is there something wrong with me?

Also, telling me to listen to the song, "Don't Fear The Reaper," by the Blue Oyster Cult, doesn't help although I kinda like it?

It's okay but you could also every day give a little beauty into your life: looking at a rose blossom, smelling it, looking at sky and fluffy clouds, a smile, a seashell, etc. Little victories count.

Also, you might enjoy "Valley Recalls" CD vol I or II by Shivkumar Sharma, "The Secret Power of Music" a book by David Tame, and "Light Is a Living Spirit" by Aivanhov.

It's foolish not to fear death. If being without

Fear has you ignore a wolf running up to you

To rip your apart and you just stand there and

Ignore it. It will kill you. If you see it and run

Or pull out a weapon and kill it. Fear saved

Your life. Fear fuels the adrenaline needed

To defeat a big animal and keep it from killing

You. Some times running away is the best and

Only option. So don't fear looking scared. It

    Is natural. Ok?

At your age, sure. I used to. I see it as a comfort now. I'm severely depressed, however. Living frightens me. I'm a Buddhist. That helps, I guess.

I'm 72 and I fear death. Almost every one does. It's okay.
