Do atheists approve of peyote?

It can guide you to the spirit world

Some may, but not as a general rule as Atheists do not follow a spiritual path

A few probably do but most are intelligent, well-meaning people (although lost until they receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.)

Source(s): The New Testament (recommended reading)

My ancestors used that, along with starvation, and sleep deprivation to find god.

They hallucinated plenty, but nary a god was found.

Say no to drugs and gods. Stay real.

First show me the evidence for a spirit world rather than a 'spirited' interaction with the world.

I had a friend (John) who went up a mountain to find his spirit guide on a peyote trip. He remembered getting to the top and dreaming of an eagle (why is it always an eagle or a wolf, why never a slug or wombat?).

Anyway, he woke up stark bollock naked when a man with a donkey walked past, laughing at him. John walked back down the hill, retracing his climb, picking up his discarded vestements on the way.

Do I approve? I wouldn't be stupid enough to do it, but I would not stop others doing it to amuse the rest of us.
