I think It’s time we seriously consider restricting kid’s access to smartphones. Yes or No?

"Kid's"? How about any age drivers? It is still not illegal to text and drive in many states.

The 30 year old that T-boned me last month - totalling my car and really injuring me - has zero business driving, a 2 ton potentially 'lethal weapon', with any 'device' powered on and in reach.

This would be the parents job not the government.

No. There is such a thing called parenting. It is for the parents to decide whether their kids have a smartphone or not and if they do, what restrictions to place on the child and the phone use. Parents should be educated in potential problems and decide for themselves. I would hate to live in a Nanny State.
