How far was the block pulled back before being released?

A block with a mass of 0.30 kg is attached to a horizontal spring. The block is pulled back from its equilibrium position until the spring exerts a force of 1.1 N on the block. When the block is released, it oscillates with a frequency of 1.2 Hz.

    (2πf)² = k/m = (2π*1.2)² = 56.85 = k/m

    m*56.85 = k = 0.3*56.85 = 17.055

    F = kx = 1.1 = 17.055*x

    x = 1.1/17.055 = 6.5cm
