Why the nurse push my stomach after giving birth?

I had a c section and my baby was born 9 pounds 10 ounces and i was in the resting room and there is this nurse she just press stomach and i thought it wouldnt hurt and i got up quick and grab both her with my hands and said owwwwww and the nurse said im sorry, but why does it hurt sooo bad?

    Some nurses are sadists. No one did that to me they gave me morphine but then I live in New Zealand not the USA.

    Because she is squeezing your uterus and it hurts. It's to help prevent excessive bleeding.
