White TV wire?

So I’m honestly very uneducated on wires and stuff. My outlet for the white wire broke (ik ik.) do I need that wire for my tv cable to even function?

Yes, the thick cable with a wire down the center and screw-on ends (or slips onto screw-on sockets) is "coax cable" (pronounced "co-ax") meant for the radio signals that carry TV channels. That's the same whether it's feeding a rooftop antenna directly to the TV, or connecting the cable TV system to the cable box.
