Can yellow-bellied sliders overwinter outdoors in New Jersey?

Given the pond doesnt freeze solid that is. In January, our coldest month, highs are usually around 40 and lows in the mid 20s. A couple times a winter the low MAY dip to the single digits. Can yellow-bellied sliders hibernate here?

Depends on the depth of the pond and the material covering the bottom.
