Printer copier firmware is only put into the PROM of the printer. It only has to be done once. Any computers accessing that printer for using the printing and copying functions don't need that firmware on their disks.

If you mean disks that will be actually inside printer hardware, then they might need firmware on them. Yes, they can be given that firmware by copying from a master disk unit or a DVD.

if the firmware is a file stored on the drive it will copy it.

duplicators only copy files, not custom formatting.

The duplicator will copy any digital software on the DISK. If the printer firmware is on the disk, then it will be copied to the new drive.
