Hasn't US media since William Randolph Hearst have always sensualized, propagandize, miss-informed readers, and engage in bias reporting?

Is it currently worst?

Long before that. The whole Aaron Burr/Alexander Hamilton duel was because one of Hamiltons scandal rags ran a story about Burr's wife being promiscuous. Lies in the media has been an American tradition since it's founding.

All of that predates Hearst, although he was very good at it. What's new is how political and one-sided the media has become.

Hearst was the precursor to CNN's fake news platform.

I see almost zero journalistic integrity in most of the "news" providers.

Fortunately, there are still some very good sources whose journalists believe in integrity.

I'm sure you meant "sensationalized, propagandized and misinformed", btw.

Yes, the 1938 radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" provided a lesson to the media in the simplicity of manipulation of the masses, and they have been improving on their methods ever since.
