Actually, the New Orleans Saints had a decade-plus quarterback (in Archie Manning) before Drew Brees. In the roughly 25 years in between, the Saints struggled to find a franchise quarterback, although they had some good ones in that time span (like Ken Stabler).

It took them 40 years to find a QB like Brees, most teams have never had anyone this good.
