how to install HDMI Input on my Win 7 desktop?

    HDMI capture is very expensive, Standard Def via Composite/S-Video in is chump change compare to that.

    I have extinct card solution type for laptops that died out years ago, but it is either PCI-E or USB 3 if you were to look for one today..

    HDMI adapters only go from USB in to HDMI out, not the other way round and yes, you can use your computer as a monitor. There are inexpensive external DVD/CD drives that have USB 2 or USB 3 outputs.

    You can't use PC (desktop or laptop) as monitor.

    If you have any other type of video output or input device connected to the computer, then you would be best off getting an adapter to fix your problem.

    They do sell USB to HDMI adapters they also sell HDMI PCI cards if you don't feel like installing a PCI card simply get yourself a USB to HDMI adapter it requires no skill to install one of them. Make sure you get one of them that has an audio output if you want sound

    HDMI, is usually for showing graphics on a monitor or Digital TV. If for anything, else. Please let me know.
