No. Been there, done that. Wouldn't do it again.

The people are pretentious. The air is thick with smog. Everything is spread out so nothing is nearby. The freeways are parking lots. Some areas are war zones (gang bangers).

Source(s): Once lived in Los Alamitos, an LA suburb, just down the street (Katella) from DisneyLand.

I am born & raised in the greater Los Angeles area and I love it. I live about 25 mins from pacific coast highway and 45 mins from the snow.

No. High crime, impossible traffic, pollution and health concerns.

No. I would not recommend it. The middle class basically left, traffic is horrible and the pollution is sickening. I could go on and on about the negatives.

The positive is not worth it. (for me the positive is the familiarity of the place)

Only if you're rich enough to live in one of the posh gated communities and not have to give a sh*t about the outside world.

California got rated the State with the worst standard of living last year.

Los Angeles has a massive homeless problem, complete with an outbreak of diseases because of them sh*tting everywhere.
