How to take metro bus at night?

Most buses run 6:30AM-6:30PM. The ones that drive until midnight are for the bigger cities. I’m aware of the night owl system, but what if it’s a little after 6:30pm and the only bus that takes me home is inactive? I could use Uber, but if I did that often that’d be a lot of money.

Please be specific on your country/state or otherwise we can't help you.

I agree, uber, lyft, bicycle or taxi/car service is only option for this.

Without knowing what city/county public transit system you are using, there's no way to even guess as to what the alternatives might be.

Just think for a moment. If there isn't a bus you can't take it, can you?

True. But I’m referring to when it’s winter time and it gets dark earlier. I’m a young woman who lives in a shady city. If I had a late shift on my job, or something, and i need to take the bus. Another person mentioned Uber, or driving myself. I’ll try and work this out. Thank you.

Use uber, ride a bicycle, get your own car, or plan your trips so you are never out later than the last bus home.
