GOP kept talking about Reagan but he was President 30 years ago. All GOP Presidents since him failed. How much more can GOP go on?
George Bush - failure
George W Bush - bigger failure than his father
Trump - worst failure ever

The basic principles of GOP are flawed. Trigger down economics, tax cut to the rich, gun rights, anti-middle class, religious interference. All GOP politicians are forced to follow those principles and that's why they mostly fail. GOP is basically using selective memory to hide their shame.

The book that best describes the real negative effects of the Reagan era is the 1991 book by Donald Bartlett and James Steele: "America, What Went Wrong?" (available on amazon.com). The anti-democracy coup-seeking domestic terrorist [Koch Donor Network] evil forces behind the destructive puppet presidency of an Alzheimer's-afflicted Ronald Reagan are exposed in the 2017 book by Jane Mayer, "DARK MONEY: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right."
If you read the "DARK MONEY" book, you might find yourselves feeling somewhat compassionate for the GOP would-be-moderate pawns swept up in the strong currents of greed and corruption at the top levels of the Republican party, largely orchestrated by the spoiled-rotten billionaire brats Charles and David Koch. It was an out-of-it Ronald Reagan who allowed the "religious right" (Old Testament fanatics), aided and abetted by the aforementioned domestic-terrorist Koch brother oil barons as described in the Mayer (2017) book, to seize control of the Republican party and ever so gradually radicalize (make alt-right nuts) the GOP. Those who thought of themselves as moderate Republicans were the sacrificial lambs---the proverbial "frog" thrown into a lukewarm pot being heated slowly, lulled into a false sense of security as the waters heated up and cooked that frog. A lot of the Republicans are appalled by the vulgarity, the dangerous instability, the masochism and misogyny, the organized crime connections, and now the Russian MAFIA takeover of a KOMPROMAT Donald Trump, and some of these life-long Republicans have left the GOP rather than support him. I applaud their courage and integrity. People like George Will, Bill Krystal, Stephanie Rule of MSNBC, Congressman Amash, and others deserve praise for breaking free and standing on principle.
I thought Hillary should have considered a moderate Republican, former Ambassador to China for Barack Obama, Jon Huntsman as her VP---a way to unite us. If would-be sane moderates want to take back their GOP, they need to vote out Mitch McConnell and the Koch-created "Tea Party" extremists.

You have a very odd definition of failure, and a worse definition of success if you think Obama was worth a ****
