Does Lebanon have more Shia or Sunni population,or is it a equal amount?

    I’ve seen it documented both ways.

    Wikipedia has it as more Sunni by less than 1%

    But I’ve also seen there’s more Shia by over 4%

    It is very close. Sunni and Shia both encompass about 24-30 percent (EACH) of Lebanon’s total religious population.

    The CIA also has Sunni at a little over 1/4 of the nation

    around 1.75 million each and 1 million for Christians
