That would be the Calvin Cycle.
It's really quite interesting, actually. During the day plants "charge their batteries" so to speak by converting ADP into ATP. The extra phosphate bond is used to split a CO2 molecule at night. The whole process is nicely described in Wiki.Source(s): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosynthesis
