    Both.

The Ural mountains are the deciding line. Also the Caucases mountains along the southern border with Turkey.

This connects the Caspian and Black seas.

Russia is both in Europe & Asia .

European Russia is just known as 'Russia'.

Asian Russia is known as 'Siberia' or ' Siberian Russia'.

The approximate dividing line between the two parts is the Ural Mountains, which is a line of North to South mountains along the 60 degrees meridian, between the Arctic Ocean and the Caspian Sea.

Russia, or the Russian Federation, is a transcontinental country in Eastern Europe and North Asia.

Another country which lies partly in Asia, partly in Europe, is Turkey. Its biggest city, Istanbul, straddles both continents!

Both. The dividing line between Europe and Asia is the Mountain Range just east of Moscow.

Not "just east of Moscow" - about 500 miles east of Moscow. The mountain range in question is the Urals, which run north/south for a long distance.

It doesn’t actually make a difference because Europe is only considered a separate continent for cultural reasons. When Ancient Greece defined the 3 continents (Africa, Asia and Europe) d

They did so on a very limited knowledge of geography, and knew nothing of continental or tectonic plates.

Asia and Europe share the same continental plate, nor are they separated by sea. From a geological perspective, they are one continent.

To further complicate matters, there is no authority on the definition of a continent, so you are no more or less of an authority on defining continents that I or anyone else is. It’s simply a matter of general acceptance based on what Ancient Greece decided based on whatever qualifying factors they used to define them.

You can decide whether Russia is part of Europe or Asia and there is no one who can officially tell you that you’re wrong.

Once you figure that out, you should figure out if Pluto is actually a planet or not.

Most of it's inhabitants are in Europe, and most of it's land mass is in Asia.

    Yes!

This is a long-standing debate as I understand it, where to draw that line. The deal is that part of Russia is European, part is considered Asian.
