I had one once. His name was Zeus. He was normal sized when I first welcomed him into my home. We got along very well. After a few weeks I noticed he was always very active, on his wheel, moving pebbles and toys around his cage almost like he was exercising. I would feed him hamster food but it never seemed to be enough for the little fella. I began giving him small pieces of beef, fish and chicken, and boy he ate that stuff up ! Soon I found myself preparing special dished just for him. His favorite was beef stew made with steak and vegetables. This good food, coupled with his active and vigorous exercise routine, allowed Zeus to grow and grow. One night I heard a noise in my kitchen, I got out of bed to investigate and discovered Zeus had bend apart the iron bars of his hamster cage and was raiding my refrigerator ! After that he slept on the floor of my bedroom. Once he was released from the confines of that cage he grew and grew. I used to take him for long walks in the park on a lease, and he would catch various mice and rabbits and eat them right up. Zeus craved fresh meat. At one point he was over 12 lbs of pure muscle. I've never seen anything like it ! If you want to know more about Zeus just let me know.
