Can a senior use their discount for other family members?

iHop gives a 55+ discount. My mom is 56. Can she use her discount to order for other members or does it only apply to her meal.

It depends on the restaurant. I'd ask before ordering. We went to one restaurant (not IHOP) and got a 10% discount on our meal. We went to another in the same chain, and were told that the Senior Discount was free drinks, but since we got a combo, there were no free drinks. Another (again, same chain) told us that they don't give a senior discount on the combo's as they are already discounted. You see, it depends on how the local management sees it.

    Always ask first.

Usually only for the person who is actually old enough to qualify

The policy on senior discounts varies and it's probably best to ask before you order.

Not usually. Senior discount is for that person only almost everywhere.

Is surely for the person to whom it was issued.

Probably she can if she's paying.
