Google earth pro historical street view 1980s.?

I am trying to travel my old neighborhood back in the 80s and 90s on street view. I am starting to think it can’t be done. Because it wont load on the street. Is this impossible for now. The hope I have is that in street view I can see ghost like images of what was there at the time like old gas stations, road signs, etc. but it seems slow to impossible to load. Can anyone help or tell me if and when this might be a possibility? Thanks in advance

Google Street View was launched in 2007. You won't find any views earlier than that since the data doesn't exist.

Your answer makes the most since. Guess I’ll try a little more since I can technically see very faded things trying to load. Thanks!

Google earth is made in 2007 and the images are all recent to about a year old

Street view was only launched in 2007. So it's not possible to see before then.

You cannot do that with Google earth but you can type into google

80's map (Include where you live, street names etc)

As far as I know there were NO images in the 80s as street view was not invented then. Here in the U.K. we had ours done in about 2000.
