Can I change my 16 inch wheels to 17 inch wheels on a Dodge pickup . 2001 Dodge 2500 4x4 diesel . Three quarter ton ?

    Yes. It will ride rougher and you run a greater risk of bending in a rim if you hit a bump, specially if you got a heavy load. I would go a plus size on the tire and keep the rims, it really is not worth spending a lot of money on new rims for an 18 year old truck.

    Absolutely, Archie.

    If you wish to upgrade from your current 16 inch tire and rim combo you can go to LT265/70R17 sized tires mounted on 17x7.5 or 17x8 sized wheels.

    When shopping for wheels only consider those which have a 8-165 bolt pattern and a zero offset.

    Yes, you CAN but you'll need to change the tires too. Your 16 inch tires won't fit on 17 inch wheels.
