Of course. Insects are like animals, they can only do what God has programmed them to do, because they are not made in God's image and likeness as we human beings are.
God is Spirit (John 4:24) and God also has a free will. Humans are created in God's image with a Spirit and we are also born with a free will.
Insects are not made in God's image. They do not have a spirit and they do not have a free will.
Insects can only live by instinct and do what they are programmed by God in advance to do.
They cannot make individual decisions to live as they wish, they have to conform to their species, so if they are fish they must remain fish and live in water in order to survive and if insects live in a colony (such as bees for example) they have to live and work in the 'cast' they were born into - workers have work, queens have to reproduce, drones have to fertilize the Queen bee etc, whereas, humans can decide either to be married and reproduce or not. Humans have a free will to live as they wish. Humans are creative and logical in any decision-making, whereas insects, even if by eating the plant they live on, they kill their very source of life, they still have to do it because that's the way they have to live by instinct. They are programmed that way.
Whereas humans can use their brains to create air crafts to fly, submarines to take us to the bottom of the oceans, transport and moon-landing gear to visit and explore other plants etc.
I believe that's proof enough that humans are more intelligent than any insect any- one could name
